SK School Board looks to fill vacancy

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Members of the Shell Knob School Board are seeking a replacement due to the resignation of one of their members.

Patrons of the school district who are interested in being appointed to fill the vacancy are asked to send a letter of interest to Brenda Smith, secretary of the Shell Knob Board of Education, stating their qualifications and their reasons for wishing to be on the board.

Letters of interest will be accepted for two weeks and then reviewed by the board at the next regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Interested individuals will be interviewed in open session at the meeting and board members will select a candidate from the applications.

The individual appointed to the board will serve until the next school board election, when a director will be elected for the unexpired term.
