Several injured in area wrecks
A Cassville woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Farm Road 2295 west of Washburn.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2000 Ford Ranger, Rose M. Brooks, 72, of Cassville, ran off the roadway.
Brooks was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
* Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash at 7:40 a.m. on Monday on County Road 2185 about one mile west of Cassville. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 Ford Explorer, Debbie R. Henry, 56, of Exeter, failed to stop at a stop sign, drove off the road and into an embankment. Henry and a passenger in the vehicle, Flonnie A. Henry, 77, of Exeter, were both taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with moderate injuries. Neither were wearing a seat belt.
* A Verona woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 7 p.m. on Sunday on Farm Road 2040 about six miles south of Aurora. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1993 Dodge Dakota, Sheena M. Howard, 52, of Verona, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees. Howard was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
* A Cassville man sustained minor injuries in a single vehicle crash at 4:36 a.m. on Sunday on Highway U about four miles east of Butterfield. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1986 Federal fire truck, Thomas L. Ray, 33, of Butterfield, was en route to a motor vehicle crash with lights and sirens activated. The truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a yard ornament and a culvert. A passenger in the truck, Arthur S. Brophy, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries. Ray was wearing a seat belt but Brophy was not.
