The Cassville Lady Wildcats dropped two Big 8 Conference games to Seneca and East Newton.

On Sept. 12 the Lady Wildcats (4-6, 0-3) fell to East Newton.

Things started well for Cassville. The Black and Gold struck first in the top of the first inning.

Raeghan Blisard reached on an error and the scored on a Lady Patriots' second error of the frame.

East Newton answered with a run in the bottom of the second.

The game remained deadlocked at 1-1 until the sixth when the Lady Wildcats plated another run.

Ashley Large opened the frame reaching on an error and scored on a single by Callie Meek.

Cassville added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Blisard singled and scored on a wild pitch and Andrea Cousins walked and scored on a Large single.

However, fate would not be kind to the Lady Wildcats.

In the bottom of the seventh, a two-out grand slam by Carley Camerer capped a five-run frame that sank Cassville.
