Several injured in recent wrecks

A Green Forest, Ark., man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 8 p.m. on Sept. 2 on Highway 86 about three miles north of Eagle Rock.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by David G. Stanfield, 44, of Green Forest, Ark., attempted to avoid another vehicle in his lane, swerved off the right side of the road and traveled down an embankment before striking a tree and overturning.

Stanfield was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Berryville with moderate injuries.

Other crashes

* A Wentworth woman was injured in a two-car crash at 7:32 a.m. on the intersection of Highways 60 and 97 about two miles south of Pierce City. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1989 Lincoln Towncar, driven by Matilda G. Brottlund, 17, of Pierce City, pulled into the path of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Linda Fenske, 53, of Wentworth. The Fenske vehicle struck the Brottlund vehicle broadside. Fenske was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries.
