Cassville man injured

ed in a single-vehicle crash at 8 p.m. on Wednesday on Farm Road 1037 about five miles west of Washburn.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 Yamaha YZ250, Michael S. Bohanan, 24, of Cassville, over-accelerated, causing the vehicle to overturn backward. Bohanan was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with serious injuries. He was wearing safety gear.

Other crashes

* A Shell Knob teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 12:40 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 on Highway 76 about six miles east of Cassville. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2010 Pontiac G6, Cheyenne L. Engman, 15, ran off the road and struck two signs. Engman was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with minor injuries.

* A Cassville man was injured in a motorcycle wreck at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 on Highway YY a half mile north of Shell Knob. The crash occurred when Anthony Larson, 23, of Cassville, riding a 2006 Honda 600RR, ran off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Larson was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Ark., with moderate injuries.

* A Cassville man sustained moderate injuries in a crash that occurred at 2 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 248 about five miles south of Cassville. The crsh occurred when the driver of a 2008 Toyota FJ cruiser, Zachery R. Phillips, 28, of Cassville, ran off the roadway and overturned. Phillips was wearing a seat belt. A passenger in the vehicle, Steven E. Henson, 32, of Cassville, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
