Chamber plans industrial tour

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will host an industry tour starting at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19. The half-day tour will include four area businesses.

The kick-off breakfast will get underway at 8:15 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, located at Seventh and Gravel streets in Cassville. Participants will then tour All Points Recycling, at 800 West St., J&M Pallet Company, at 14367 Farm Road 2150 in Cassville, and the newly completed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shelter at Cassville School District, at 1501 Main St.

"This is a great opportunity to learn more about our great community and allows businesses to open their doors and show others what they do," said Dusty Reid, chamber president. "Attendees can network and spend time together while touring some of Cassville's outstanding businesses."

"Cassville is fortunate to have a nice blend of large, medium and small companies that provide a strong industrial base for people in a 20- to 30-mile radius of Cassville," said Stan Kelley, Industrial Development Committee (IDC) chairman. "Those who are employed by local industries also conduct business with many of our retail businesses in Cassville, which is a win-win situation."

Those interested in attending the tour are asked to call the Chamber at 847-2814 or e-mail by Thursday, Sept. 12.
