Three hurt in crash

Three people were hurt in a single vehicle crash at 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 24 near Cassville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kyle Foltz, 32, of Cassville, was driving east on Highway 112, a half mile south of Cassville, in a 2013 Toyota Tundra. Foltz's vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. One of the rear seat passengers was struck by the motorcycle that was being hauled on the bed of the Tundra.

Kyle Foltz, who was not wearing a safety belt, received serious injuries. He was transported to Cox Hospital South in Springfield by ambulance. His passenger, Jeremy Foltz, 34, of Wentzville, was also not wearing a safety belt and received serious injuries. Jaxon Foltz, age 8, of Wentzville, son of Jeremy Foltz, was wearing a safety belt and also received serious injuries. Jeremy and Jaxon Foltz were transported by air ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield for treatment.
