EVENT: The Old Church Gallery Farmers Market will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Farm Road 1240, Fresh produce, baked goods and crafts.

EVENT: 5D Barrel Race Saddle Series. Exhibitions start at 6 p.m. at Freedom Arena in Aurora. Jackpot at 8 p.m.

EVENT: The Southwest Missouri Tea Party will meet at 1 p.m. at the VFW on Hwy 39 in Shell Knob. The meeting will include a presentation and a review of the latest current events at the state and federal level.

EVENT: The Purdy Renewal Project will host a "10-Year Vision" meeting for community members to share ideas about how to make Purdy thrive over the next 10 years. The event is scheduled for 6:30 pm, at the Purdy Community Center.

EVENT: The 55th annual Wheaton Volunteer Fire Department BBQ will get underway at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Wheaton City Park.

EVENT: Turkey Mountain Airport 8 a.m to noon. Get an omelet and watch the planes fly in.
