Bobby Hilton James
Bobby Hilton James, 77, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, in his home.
He was born April 2, 1936, in Cassville, the son of Luther and Chloe (Hilton) James. On June 6, 1953, he was united in marriage to Christine Cantwell, who survives.
Additional survivors include: five daughters, Linda Grimes and her husband, Randy, of Rogersville, Debbie Stephens and her husband, Harry, of Exeter, Leasa Lightfoot and her husband, Garland, of Brighton, Carol Myers and her husband, Daryl, of Bolivar, and Christy McDaniel and her husband, Donnie, of Pleasant Hope; a daughter-in-law, Regina James, of Bolivar; 16 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Bobby Allen James; one sister, Betty Banks; and one granddaughter.
He was a graduate of Cassville High School. He had been employed for Herschel Stehlik Lumber Co., Central Crossing Lumber in Shell Knob and for 30 years. He worked for Toombs and Company in Springfield, from which he retired. He owned B&D Check Cashing Store in Arkansas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
