Corn maze unveils new design
The Exeter Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch recently unveiled its new design for the 2013 season, "We the People."
"We try to pick a design that we think our guests will find interesting," said Robyn Cole, owner of the Exeter Corn Maze. "This year we're giving them something in common with Congress, the ultimate decision -- right or left."
The Exeter Corn Maze will be open beginning Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 3. Hours of operation are 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday. 1 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The maze will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. on Halloween night, Thursday, Oct. 31. Special discounts and operating times will be available for school trips, Scouts and other group outings.
Other activities will include a pumpkin cannon, hayride, jumping pillow, cow train, corn cannon, mini pumpkin cannon and a zipline. Armbands, for unlimited access, including the corn maze, are $15.
New for the 2013 season are Pink Pumpkins for a Cure, at a cost of $5. Proceeds will benefit the Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
The Haunted Barn will open Sept. 27 through Oct. 31 from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday night and 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday night. Cost is $7 per person.
The Exeter Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is located on Highway MM in Exeter, six miles west of Cassville and 25 miles south of Monett.
