Gary Wilmer Weston
Gary Wilmer Weston, 64, of Washburn, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, in Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.
He was born Jan. 20, 1949, in Neosho, the son of Wilmer and Ethel (White) Weston. On Dec. 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Opal McCormack. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: three sons, Gary Douglas Weston, of Exeter, Shelby Don Weston, of Monett, and William Lee Weston and his wife, Melissa, of Rogers, Ark.; three sisters, Glenda Moudy and her husband, Wayne, of Taylorsville, Ky., Nancy Lacey and her husband, Warren, of Anamosa, Iowa, and Rebecca Petty and her husband, Martin, of Glenpool, Okla.; and nine grandchildren.
|He received his education at Exeter, where he graduated from high school. From March 20, 1967, to May 22, 1970, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served in Vietnam where he was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal. He was a farmer and truck driver, owning and operating his own trucks for 34 years.||Graveside services with military honors were held Monday at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Glenn Erwin conducted the services.|
