Several injured in area wrecks

A Golden woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 10:10 p.m. on July 4 on Farm Road 1165 about one mile east of McDowell.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when the driver of a 1998 Hyundai, Carolyn L. Gryder, 69, of Golden, left the roadway and struck some trees.

Gryder was taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Other wrecks

* A Purdy man was injured in a crash at 10 p.m. on July 3 on Highway 37 about one mile south of Butterfield. The crash occurred when a 2011 Victory motorcycle, rid- den by Clarence L. Frye, 57, of Purdy, attempted to avoid another vehicle and overturned. Frye was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with minor injuries.

* A Cape Fair man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 12:15 p.m. on July 3 on Highway 39 at Cato. The crash occurred when the 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by Lessley R. Rumback, 65, of Cape Fair, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned. Rumback was taken to Mercy Hospital Aurora with moderate injuries.

* A Pierce City teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 5:40 a.m. on July 7 on Highway 37 about one mile south of Monett. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1967 Chevrolet pickup, Tyler R. Dill, 18, of Pierce City, was attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 37 from a county road, overturned and went into the right side of the ditch, striking an embankment. Dill was taken by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital with moderate in- juries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
