Paul Estes Carter
Paul Estes Carter, 64, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, in his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Atkins, Ark., the son of Bennie and Cora (Garner) Carter. On July 15, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev., he was united in marriage to Brenda Woody, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Denzil, of Purdy; one daughter, Paulina Carter, of Severy, Kan.; two brothers, Larry Carter, of Butterfield, and Frank Carter and his wife, Shelly, of Washburn; two sisters, Freda Shelly, of Butterfield, and Gail Walker and her husband, Ed, of Ponce de Leon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Robert and Herman Carter.
He received his education at Shell Knob. He was a truck driver for George's for many years.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Carter Family Cemetery at Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Carroll Williamson conducted the services.
