SK man sentenced for his role in fatal crash

A man from Shell Knob has been sentenced to 20 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections in connection with a fatal crash on Highway 39 in Barry County on July 11, 2012.

Nicholas Kulhanek, 28, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. He later pleaded guilty to those charges.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kulhanek turned his vehicle in front of a motorcycle, driven by 49-year-old Aaron Poston, of Shell Knob, who died at the scene. The crash occurred on Highway 39 at the intersection of YY in Shell Knob.
