One injured in crash

A Pierce City man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15 on Highway 248 about two miles west of Jenkins.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 1997 Ford Ranger, Timothy R. Wilson, 30, of Monett, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox.

A passenger in the vehicle, Bryske A. Blair, 19, was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin with moderate injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.

Other wrecks

* An Exeter woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday on Highway 76 about two miles west of Exeter. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, Kenna D. Beck, 30, of Exeter, traveled off the highway and overturned. Beck was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

* A Rogers, Ark., man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 112 about two miles east of Seligman. The crash occurred when the operator of a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle, Francisco J. Rico, of Rogers, Ark., ran off the roadway and overturned. Rico was taken to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries.
