Missie K. Moore, 70, of Tulsa, Okla., passed Friday, May 10, 2013, after suffering a stroke. She was born in Cassville Jan. 16, 1943, daughter of Jimmy and Virginia Turner. She was a graduate of Cassville High School Class of 1961. She competed and won Miss Congeniality in the Missouri Beauty Contest before attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and graduated with an associate's degree in art in 1963. She married her college sweetheart, Eddie Moore, in 1963. He preceded her in death about one year ago.

She started her own courier business and later found her passion was rehabilitating stroke and Parkinson's victims through exercise as an exercise therapist working for over 20 years.

Survivors include: her sister, Jane Ann Brimm, of Joplin; twin brother, Jimmie Ray Turner, of Houston, Texas; and her sons, Mark Moore, of Tulsa, Okla.; Shawn Moore, his wife, Kristan, of Tulsa, Okla., and Travis and his wife, Tyler, of Sand Springs, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Eastside Christian Church, Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday. Donations may be made to the Missie Kay Moore fund for medical bills. Contact serenetitycrematory.com for more information.
