More than one curious motorist slowed to take in a colorful string of motorcycle bikes and trikes parked in front of Pizza Hut in Cassville on Friday. The group, comprised of trike-owners whose rides were custom built by Stan Hughes, owner of V8 Choppers in Miami, Okla., were on a road trip to celebrate Hughes 10-year anniversary as a business owner and custom motorcycle builder. According to one trike owner, Jim Monteith, pictured below, members traveled from Connecticut, Illinois, Oklahoma, Florida, Iowa and Missouri to take the annual trek, this year to Branson. "We also attend bike rallies at Sturgis, (S. Dakota) and Daytona, (Fla.)," Monteith said. "But this group gets together every year for Stan's open house and we ride somewhere." Of the 21 bikes, three included Boss Hoss 'cycles, manufactured in Friedens, Pa. "We draw a lot of attention wherever we go," Monteith said. "We're loud and colorful, and we have a lot of fun."
