Animal Clinic receives AAHA accreditation

Thursday, May 16, 2013

A local veterinarian clinic has successfully completed the evaluation process to retain its membership in the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Herrin Animal Clinic was recently evaluated on its level of medical care and client service, practices and approximately 900 standards that are widely recognized as benchmarks to measure excellence in veterinary medicine.

"We are proud to be an accredited AAHA hospital," said Dr. Brent Herrin, owner of the clinic. "This is a great educational process for me and the staff and helps ensure that we stay up-to-date with what are considered the best standards of care."

Founded in 1933, AAHA is the only association that provides voluntary accreditation to animal hospitals. Fewer than 15 percent of small animal hospitals in North America have received this accreditation.

Herrin Animal Clinic has been AAHA accredited since 2001.
