Three injured in area wrecks

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, on Highway TT about two miles west of Reavisville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 1994 Isuzu Trooper, Cody L. Gaston, 16, of Ozark, failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Nancy S. Barnhart, 77, of Galena.

Gaston was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Barnhart was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Other crashes

* An Aurora woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, on Highway 39 about three miles south of Madry. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1999 Ford pickup truck, Randy E. Messbarger, 56, of Aurora, crossed the centerline and struck a 2001 Toyota Camry, driven by Christine R. Lambeth. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora with minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
