Plan to attend luncheon and golf tournament
The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its sixth annual chamber golf tournament and luncheon at the Cassville Golf Course on Friday, May 17. The luncheon, which is open to golfers and non-golfers, will start at 11:30 a.m., and golfers will tee-off at 1 p.m.
"Besides being a great excuse to get out of the office, the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce annual golf tournament is a wonderful way to support the chamber while having a good time," said Dusty Reid, chamber president. "The event is a good networking opportunity and provides for a lot of interaction among chamber members and local business leaders."
During the luncheon, which will be catered by Jersey's Sports Bar and Grill, attendees will have the opportunity to win two $25 Cassville Cash certificates. Lunch will cost $7 per person.
Golfers who compete in the four-man scramble will have the opportunity to win cash prizes in the closest to the pin and crazy line competitions, as well as flight prizes. Flights will be determined by the number of teams, and the tournament will be limited to the first 25 teams that register for the event.
"The sixth annual chamber golf tournament is a fun way to kick off summer," said Mindi Artherton, chamber executive director. "I know our golfers in the area have been itching for an opportunity to get out on the course. Not only does this tournament offer friendly competition for our golfers, it is a chance to meet other business professionals in our area in a fun and relaxed setting.
"The chamber luncheon prior to the tournament is open to everyone," continued Artherton. "Our quarterly luncheons are a little more structured than our golf tournament luncheon. This is the one time a year we host a lunch that is set-up strictly for networking. There is not a formal speaker and it allows luncheon attendees to visit and make contacts with potential new customers and business contacts."
Community members interested in participating in the golf tournament should call the chamber office at 847-2814 or the Cassville Golf Club at 847-2399. To reserve a seat for the luncheon, call the chamber at 847-2814 or email email@example.com.
Several local businesses will serve as hole sponsors for this year's chamber golf tournament. Those businesses include: Arning Companies; Barry County Abstract and Title; Barry Electric Cooperative; Cassville SOMO Storage; Cassville United Methodist Church; Chad Yarnall, Farm Bureau; Commerce Bank; Four Seasons Real Estate; Freedom Bank; Hutchens Construction; International Paper; MariCorp; Mercy Hospital; Preferred Poultry Supply; Runnels Chiropractic; Security Bank; TH Rogers; and Willis Insurance.
