Richard Buck, 75, of Exeter, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville.

He was born May 24, 1937, in Wheaton, the son of Edward "Lane" and Mary Bell (Smallwood) Buck. On Aug. 8, 1954, he was united in marriage to Shelba Jean Stephenson, and to this union two daughters were born. Shelba preceded him in death on March 30, 2001. He later married Marilyn L. (Hill) McCullah, who preceded him in death on Oct. 14, 2010. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Clifton, E.L. and Joe Buck, and one sister, Ella Mae Sampson.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janet Watson and her husband, Bruce, of Bryant, Ark., and Cindy Hudlow and her husband, Jason, of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers, Bob Buck and his wife, Marilyn, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donald Buck and his wife, Patti, of Wheaton; and two grandchildren.

He grew up and received his education at Wheaton, graduating with the Wheaton High School Class of 1955. For several years, he resided in Arkansas, where he was a salesman for Northwest Arkansas Daily Newspaper. He was also a Southern Baptist minister, serving in various churches in southwestern Missouri since 1970. He was a member of Wheaton Southern Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday in Wheaton Southern Baptist Church, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Wheaton Southern Baptist Church in his memory.
