Les Jacobs Ford welcomes Allen as service manager
Les Jacobs Ford has welcomed Greg Allen, of Cassville, as the dealership's new service manager. Allen brings an extensive knowledge and hundreds of hours of service training for General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota and other manufacturers of vehicles to the position.
"We're very excited to have Greg Allen join our team," said Darrin Jacobs, Les Jacobs Ford general manager. "Greg brings years of automotive experience with him to help us better serve the need of our customers.
"With Greg's knowledge and training, our service department will expand its services to work on all makes and models," continued Jacobs. "Greg's common sense approach and attention to detail are assets that we are confident our customers will appreciate."
Before joining the service department at the Cassville dealership, Allen worked for a GM dealer as a certified GM technician and a service manager for a Chrysler dealer. His career has also included serving as an automotive technology instructor at the Scott Regional Technology Center (formerly known as the Southwest Area Career Center) in Monett for 25 years.
"I am very knowledgeable in the automotive field, having attended many Ford training courses and worked cooperatively with some Ford dealerships and Ford Training Centers to provide factory training to Ford technicians," said Allen. "I have been previously certified by GM and Chrysler, been master ASE certified in automotive repair, diesel repair, auto collision repair and engine machining.
"The service department at Les Jacobs Ford employs very good technicians like Mike Clifton, who is one of the best Ford factory trained technicians in the industry," continued Allen. "If Mike can't fix it, no one can."
Allen also commended Gary Cartwright who repairs brake systems and conducts front-end alignments.
"Gary does excellent work and is equipped with the latest alignment equipment," said Allen. "The service department also employs two excellent lube and tire technicians who can properly service all makes and models of cars and trucks. I invite everyone to bring their vehicles into the Les Jacobs Ford dealership, located on Highway 37 at the junction of Highway 86 for excellent service."
In addition to his extensive career in automotive services, Allen has worked in the classic car restoration industry for several years and served on the Cassville R-4 School Board for over 18 years.
Allen and his wife, Karen, have lived in Cassville for over 35 years. The couple have two daughters, Mary Beth and Sarah. Karen Allen is employed at FASCO Industries.
