Democrat Photo/Lindsay Reed

Cassville Middle School students competed in a photography contest in March. Students submitted photos in the following categories: portraiture, nature and action. The participants had the opportunity to submit a photo in each category. Photos could be black and white or color, but could not be manipulated by photo editing software, such as Photoshop. The winners of the competition, who are pictured above, each recieved a $10 Sonic gift card. From left, are: Kaylee Liley, first place, action photography; Cole Jackson, first place, nature photography; and Mary Hennigan, first place, portraiture photography.
