Jackie L. "Jack" Freeman, 54, of Cassville, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, in his home.
He was born April 15, 1959, in Aurora, the son of Melvin Kenneth and Martha (Warner) Freeman. On July 1, 1977, in Butterfield, he was united in marriage to Barbara J. Bickford, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Postlewait, of Purdy; one son, Matthew Freeman and his wife, Rachael, of Cassville; his father, Kenneth Freeman and his wife, Sharon, of Purdy; three sisters, Rhonda Sartin of Exeter, Tammie Williamson and her husband, Carroll, of Purdy, and Deanna Carver and her husband, Chris, of Purdy; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Martha Freeman; one sister, Deborah Martinez; one brother, Charles Kenneth Freeman; and his grandparents.
He was a 1977 graduate of Wheaton High School. In 1980, he became an ordained minister for the Pentecostal Church of God and had served as sectional youth leader for many years. He also served on the Southern Missouri District Board. He pastored in Missouri and Arkansas before starting Blessing Heights Worship Center in 1993. Jack had a passion for singing and writing songs. He had two songs on the Southern Gospel Times 2012 Top 40 Chart.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Family Life Center at Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastors Charles Cross, Dale Merideth and Jimmie Copley conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
