Rosie Marie (Hargus) Henderson, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013, in Glenwood Healthcare at Seymour. She was born Aug. 26, 1927, in Seymour, the daughter of Luther and Mary (Cantrell) Hargus. On Sept. 2, 1944, she was united in marriage to Elvis Ray Henderson, and to this union four sons and two daughters were born. The couple moved south of Seymour, where they maintained a dairy farm for 52 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Elvis Henderson; two sons, Joe Dean and James (Bob) Henderson; one grandchild; her parents; two brothers, Elston and Clarence Hargus; and four sisters, Lorene Goss, Lois Hargus, Juanita Ensley and Jolene Stephens.

Survivors include: her children, Everett Wayne Henderson and his wife, Martha, of Rogersville; Linda Williams and her husband, David, of Marshfield; Gary Henderson and his wife, Carolyn, of Seymour; and Betty Caswthra and her husband, Robert, of Ozark; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Hargus, Bill Hargus and James Hargus; and three sisters, Dorothy Porter, Mary Lou Bolten and Geraldine Fields.

She was a member of Mansfield Assembly of God Church in Mansfield.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Holman Howe Chapel in Seymour with Rev. Jerry Orf officiating. Burial followed at the Seymour Masonic Cemetery in Seymour.
