Jamieson resigns to accept Ozark AD job

Last night (Tuesday, April 16), the Cassville R-4 School Board voted to accept the resignation of Cassville Middle School Principal Terry Jamieson.
Jamieson is leaving the district after 13 years to accept the athletic director's position at Ozark High School, a Class 5 school. He will take on his new role this summer.
"I think I would have stayed here the rest of my life, but sometimes events and outcomes just cannot be controlled and we must accept the truth of that reality," said Jamieson.
"I sorely miss the high school, and I have wanted to return to that level and spend those years with Madison," said Jamieson, referring to his youngest daughter, who is a freshman this year.
Jamieson has served as middle school principal at Cassville for two years. Prior to his move to the middle school, Jamieson served as assistant high school principal and athletic director for nine years.
Jamieson joined the district in 2000 as a high school history teacher and the school's first soccer coach. Under his leadership, Cassville launched its soccer program, which saw incredible success. In 2005, the team won the district championship and finished third in state. The squad made a second Final Four appearance in 2007.
Accepting another position and leaving Cassville Schools was not an easy decision for Jamieson.
"We have lived here for around 13 years and so much has taken place in that span of time," said Jamieson. "This feels like home, and the people that we have grown to know have been good to our family. The memories are amazing. I wish to thank all of you for your respect and kindness through the years."
Jamieson will be replacing Mark Caballero, who is leaving Ozark High School to take the AD job at Jefferson City.
