Star Ann Garrison, 50, of Wheaton, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Mercy Hospital Cassville. She was born on Dec. 9, 1962, the daughter of James William and Joan (Lade) Carrington, in Ogden, Utah. While living in Ogden she worked for the Ogden Community Action Program as well as the Idaho U.S. Forestry Service. She was honored for saving the life of a man who fell through the ice at Bear Lake, Utah. In 1986, she moved to Barry County and on Aug. 13, 2004, she was united in marriage to Kelvin Garrison in Pioneer. She raised chickens and turkeys. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Rocky Comfort.

Survivors include: her husband, Kelvin Garrison, of Wheaton; one son, James Carrington, of Marionville; two grandsons; her stepfather, Marvin Turner, of Wheaton; and three sisters, Darlene Trimble, and her husband, Jerry, of Wakeman, Ohio, Joan Norris, of Akron, Ohio, and Alice McCool, of Cassville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Carrington.

Services are pending at this time.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
