Dora Ann "Dodie" Tummons, 87, of Shell Knob, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, in her home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Fort Smith, Ark., the daughter of John B. and Viola (Kidd) Coleman. On Jan. 6, 1953, in Fort Smith, Ark., she was united in marriage to Ordon Eugene Tummons, who preceded her in death in 1981. Also preceding her in death were one son, Carl Eugene Tummons, and a daughter-in-law, Ellen Tummons.

Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Endsley and her husband, Mel, of Shell Knob, and Shirley Robinson and her husband, Jim, of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Ordon O. "Sonny" Tummons, of Shell Knob; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Fort Smith, Ark. For 14 years, she was a buyer for Sears in Fort Smith, Ark., and in 1964, moved to Springfield. In 1979, she and Ordon retired to Shell Knob to make their home. She was an active member of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob, the VFW Post 2203 Ladies Auxiliary and SOLO'S.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Barry Fielder will conduct the services. Burial will be at Greenlawn North Cemetery, Springfield.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
