Wheaton students excel at math and science contest

Wheaton students excelled in the individual competition at the Ozark 7 Math and Science contest at Crowder College on March 26. Students who earned medals and ribbons are pictured above. Math competition winners included: Sean Lowry, sixth place, seventh grade math; Michelle Hang, fourth place, and Connie Xiong, fifth place, eighth grade math; Raul Barrientos, third place, and Kathryn Parker, fifth place, general math; Hilsden Mosely, first place, and Savina Vang, fifth place, eighth grade algebra I; Ruby Vang, sixth place, high school algebra I; and Robbie Pointer, third place, and Matt Hickman, sixth place, advanced math. Science competition award winners were: Sean Lowry, first place, and Sam Sherwood, fourth place, seventh grade science; and Kayla Mason, fourth place, chemistry.
