Disposal rates won't rise in Exeter

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Exeter citizens will not see a raise in their trash disposal rates this year.

On Feb. 14, Allied Waste, the service provider for the City of Exeter, made the announcement it would not be raising rates.

Rates will stay at $12.50 per month for residents using their own receptacles and $14.50 a month for those using the poly carts provided by Allied Waste.

In other business, aldermen approved a budget of $5,000 to make repairs to the city garage, located on Front Street. According to City Clerk Myrna Eisenbraun, the facility has suffered termite damage.
