Clifford "Cliff" Knisley, 81, of Shell Knob, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Mercy Hospital Springfield.

He was born June 14, 1931, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Clifford C. and Opal (Walker) Knisley. On June 11, 1982, in Pennsylvania, he was united in marriage to Linda Lee Rice, who survives.

Additional survivors include: five sons, Ed Knisley, of Pennsylvania, Toby McCabe, of Vinita, Okla., David Knisley, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dale Knisley, of Texas, and Donnie Knisley, of Texas; four daughters, Pam Merritt, of Shell Knob, Gladys Clark. of California, Sharon Knisley. of Arlington, Texas, and Josette Knisley, of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Danny Knisley.

He received his education in Minnesota. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from Nov. 4, 1947, to Nov. 29, 1949. He was an over the road truck driver for Trans Con Trucking out of California and Pennsylvania. In 1991, he and Linda moved to Shell Knob to make their home. He was a member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church, Shell Knob. He was a Shriner.

Funeral services with Masonic Rites were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor David Donaldson conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.
