TrueCare Assisted Living, located on YY Highway in Shell Knob, recently donated an antenna tower to the Central Crossing Fire Protection District. "One of our (antennas) was damaged a few years back in a storm," said Fire Chief Rusty Rickard. "With recent changes in our communications needs, this tower will save us several thousand dollars by keeping us from having to buy a new one." Rickard said the antenna will be installed and in use within the next two weeks to help provide better radio coverage in the area. "Donating the antenna to the CCFPD was a great opportunity for us to show TrueCare's commitment to the community," said Sheila House, manager. "Garold Maxfield, our chief executive officer, and his business partner, Ken Sangha, were enthusiastically behind the idea." Progress continues on the TrueCare Assisted Living building with the majority of the construction phase complete. Construction upgrades and cosmetic changes to the building to meet Missouri state code for a long-term care facility and will provide a comfortable and homey feeling for residents.
