Absentee voting continues at clerk's office
Absentee voting for the April 2 general municipal election will continue at the Barry County Clerk's office in the Barry County Courthouse in Cassville through Monday, April 2. Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Individuals who have mobility issues, such as walking or standing in lines, are invited to vote absentee prior to the spring election. In addition to regular weekday hours, the clerk's office will be open for absentee voting from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 30.
County residents interested in receiving an absentee ballot by mail should send a written request to: Gary Youngblood, Barry County Clerk, 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville MO 65625. Requests can also be faxed to 847-5311 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Written requests should include the following information: voter's name, physical address, mailing address, phone number and date of birth; the last four digits of the voter's Social Security number; the reason for voting absentee; and the voter's signature. The last day to request an absentee ballot for the April 2 general election by mail is Wednesday, March 27.
County residents voting absentee before April 2 or at polling locations on election day will be required to present one form of identification, such as a driver's license or a voter registration card.
Voters in the Barry County Monett Precinct should be aware that they must vote at the Church of Nazarene, which is located next to Farm Pro on the south side of Monett.
