Two injured in recent wrecks

An Eagle Rock teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, on Highway 86 about three miles east of Cassville.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2001 GMC pickup, Veronica R. Wronkiewicz, 16, of Eagle Rock, struck a deer.

Wronkiewicz was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville for treatment of minor injuries.

Other crashes

* A Fairview woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash that took place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 on Highway W, approximately two miles east of Wheaton. The crash occurred when a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by James M. Masters, 59, of Neosho, ran off the road and overturned. A passenger on the motorcycle, Hazel E. Long, 41, of Fairview, was taken to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with moderate injuries.
