Bonnie Gayle Nelson, 70, of Exeter, passed away in her home on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. She was born on July 3, 1942, in Denison, Texas, daughter of Larry and Florence (Duncan) Shelton. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Paul High School in Madison County, Ark. On May 23, 1960, she was united in marriage to Gerald Lee Nelson in Stillwell, Okla. In 1990, they moved to Exeter where they owned and operated G & B Nelson Trucking, Inc. She was a member of the Exeter Church of Christ.

Survivors include: her husband of 52 years, Gerald; two sons, Kurt Nelson and his wife, Lisa, of Exeter, and Don Nelson and his wife, Kathy, of Livonia, Mich.; two daughters, Karen Nelson, of Cabot, Ark., and Rena Courtney and her husband Brian, of Spearfish, S.D.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Shelton, of Canyon Lake, Texas; and one sister, Connie Nuckols, of Abilene, Texas.

Services were held Saturday at the White Funeral Home, Cassville, with Wayne Deffenbaugh, Minister, officiating. Burial followed at the Ledbetter Cemetery, Madison County, Ark.

Memorials can be to the Fair Haven Children's Home in Strafford, and entrusted in the funeral home.
