Five injured in area crashes
Four people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 11:25 a.m. on Highway TT at Reavisville.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, driven by Stephanie R. McGlothlin, 19, of Aurora, was struck from behind by a 2002 BMW, driven by Dana S. Hesington, 48, of Monett.
McGlothlin and two passengers in the vehicle, Laura M. Budd, 21, of Aurora, and Rylan M. McGlothlin, 3, of Aurora, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora with minor injuries. They were all wearing safety devices. Hesington was also taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
* A Seligman teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 37 about a tenth of a mile north of Washburn. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, Kelsey M. Leonard, 16, of Seligman, ran off the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. Leonard was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
