Voters must register by March 6
Barry County residents interested in voting in the April 2 general election must register by Wednesday, March 6.
Residents can register to vote at the Barry County Clerk's office. New addresses and name changes should also be reported to the clerk's office.
Absentee voting for the general election will continue at the county clerk's office through Monday, April 1. Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents who are unable to vote in person should mail a written request to: Gary Youngblood, Barry County Clerk, 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville, MO 65625.
Requests, which can also be faxed to 845-5311, should include the following information: voter's name, physical address, mailing address, phone number and date of birth; the last four digits of the voter's Social Security number; the reason for voting absentee; and the voter's signature.
The last day to request an absentee ballot for the April 2 general election by mail is Wednesday, March 27.
