Dorris Maxine Ash, 82, of Purdy, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in her home.

She was born June 2, 1930, in Purdy, the daughter of Marion E. and Florence (Perkins) Moudy. On Dec. 17, 1947, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Oliver R. Ash, who preceded her in death on March 28, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, one grandson and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard Dale Ash, of Purdy, and Jimmy Leon Ash, of Marionville; three daughters, Helen Jeanette Jones, of Purdy, Beverly Sue Myers, of Monett, and Connie Faye Sturgell, of Jenkins; two sisters, Nadine Allred, of Purdy, and Wilma Jean Davis, of Carthage; 13 grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She grew up in the Butterfield community and received her education at Butterfield and Purdy. She was a long-time member of Log Church at Butterfield. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Darrell Swearingen and Carolyn McNabb will conduct the services. Burial will be at Log Church Memorial Gardens, Butterfield.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
