Exeter Dance Troupe takes first place at invitational

The Exeter Dance Troupe attended the Lee's Summit Dance Invitational at Lee's Summit North High School on Jan. 26. The dance competition, which is one of the qualifying state competitions for the Missouri Dance Team Association, attracted 50 dance teams from across the state, including varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams. Groups competed in categories of mix, prop, dance, hip hop, pom and kick. The Exeter Dance Troupe competed in the junior high division and won first place for their hip hop routine. The team is directed by Amy Stringer Exeter music teacher. Pictured above, in the front row, from left, are: Madison Davis and Chloe Carpenter.
