John H. Day, age 69, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Cassville Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cassville, Missouri.

He was born September 16, 1943, in Washburn, Missouri, the son of John and Effie (Snook) Day. On January 15, 1968, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Thelma Paul, who survives. Also surviving are: one son, Rex Day and his fiancÚ, Bridget Donovan, of Exeter, Missouri; two daughters, Leta Lincoln and her husband, Donovan, of Washburn, Missouri, and Sharon Thompson and her husband, Clint, of Eagle Rock, Missouri; one brother, Gail Day and his wife, Wanda, of Monett, Missouri; four grandchildren, Carl Lincoln, Holly Thompson, Haley Donovan and Autumn Donovan; and one great-granddaughter, Hailey Lincoln.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Carl Foster; five brothers, Virgil A.B., Hardy, Harold, Kenneth and Walter Day; and four sisters, Alma Smith, Ruby Fletcher, Helen Day and Mary Murphy.

John grew and received his education at Washburn. He was a self-employed tradesman. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and collecting rocks. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, who he dearly loved. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Terry LaSalle conducted the services.
