Vernetta Earline Riffe, 76, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett.

She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Raytown, the daughter of Clyde and Esther (Stanley) Sousley. On May 9, 1957, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Leslie Riffe, who preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2010. Also preceding her in death were two grandchildren.

Survivors include: three sons, Jeffery Riffe and his wife, Nancy, of Cassville, Joel Riffe and his wife, Sheila, of Bentonville, Ark., and Daniel Riffe and his wife, Claudine, of Purdy; one daughter, Christina Ledbetter and her husband, Paul, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters, Jeanine Wiseman, of Lee's Summit, Ada Menaugh, of Springfield, and Dana Skinner, of Belton; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great- grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education at Raytown. In 1977, she and her family moved to Cassville to make their home. She attended church locally.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Donnie Garner will conduct the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 1 a.m. until service time Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
