Charles L. Barnes, 74 of Jenkins, Missouri, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Jenkins, Feb. 25, 1938, the son of James Oscar and Dolly (Hilton) Barnes. He was united in marriage June 6, 1966, in Miami, Okla., to Wanda Harris, who survives.

He is also survived by: two daughters, Tina Nolan and her husband, Scott and Tatlana Boley and her husband, Tracy, all of Jenkins, Missouri; two brothers, J.L. Barnes, of Aurora, and Leon Barnes, of Jenkins; six grandchildren, Jake Nolan, Mike Nolan, Lindsey Nolan, Zack Boley, Nate Boley and Allison Boley.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Travis Barnes and one sister, Joyce Ina.

He grew up and received his education at Lone Elm and Jenkins Schools. He was a carpenter and machinist who lived his entire life in Barry County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He was always a loving family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his other family members.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) Feb. 6, 2013, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins.
