Bertha Frances Lassiter, 86, of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, in Cassville Health Care and Rehab.

She was born in Berryville, Ark., on July 20, 1926, to Nathaniel Madison "Nat" and Mary (Robinson) Bunch. On Feb. 22, 1947, in Eureka Springs, Ark., she was united in marriage to Fred Lassiter, who preceded her in death on June 13, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Lee Bunch, and four sisters, Pauline Huckworth, Zoe Denney, Margie Jackson and Kathleen Rodenbeek.

Survivors include: one son, Jim Lassiter and his wife, Ann, of Cassville; one brother, Willard Bunch and his wife, Lois, of Orland, Calif.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-children.

She grew up and received her education at Berryville, Ark., where she graduated from high school. For 25 years, she was employed in a clothing store in Cassville. She was a Christian and a charter member of Bible Baptist Church since 1957.

Graveside services were held Monday at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Wes Stewart conducted the services.
