In volleyball, the Purdy team won the tri-conference championship for the first time in 19 years. Senior Chelsea Mareth was named to the All Conference first team. Senior Alyssa Gwin and junior Macey Breeding were named to the second team. Senior Kenzie England received honorable mention. Coaches were Heather Romine and Mica Propps.
In softball, Mattie White and Jayse Henderson were named to the All-District first team. Carleigh Hall was named to the All-District second team. The coaches were Stephanie Ray and Jannifer Schallert.
All 12 Purdy students who auditioned for the All-District Honor Choir were selected out of students competing from 25 schools. Katherine Wise, Kat Hughes, and Angelika Sehrbrock were selected for the freshman-sophomore choir. Selected for the junior-senior choir were: Dana Cunningham, Esmeralda Perez, Alissa Graham, Kaitlyn Carpenter, Bailey Spears, Phillip Roller, Nat Alden, Madison Vice and Marco Zuno. Several of the junior-senior selections scored in the top 25 of their section.
Named to the All-State Honor Choir are Phillip Roller and Kaitlyn Carpenter. Lauren Lee in the choir director.
Two Purdy students were named to the All-District Band. David Thomas was named first chair for timpani and Nat Alden was named second chair in the tuba section.
In the All-Conference Band, Kyle Davidson was tapped for the trumpet section. Ulyssa Martinez won the F horn seat. James Adams is the Purdy band director.
The FFA Chapter's dairy team won first place at state in 2012 and took 15th place at national competition in the fall of 2012. Team members are Jake Beaty, Jake Henderson, Alex Mareth and Jared Smith.
The students all received certificates of appreciation from the school board.
