The Elks Lodge free-throw contest was held at the Eureka Springs, Ark., middle school gymnasium on Jan. 12. Students from Berryville, Ark., Green Forest, Ark., Harrison, Ark., Eureka Springs, Ark., and Cassville participated in the annual free-throw contest. Three Cassville students earned awards at the event. Brady Mueller achieved first place and Leslie Turner earned second place in the 8- and 9-year-old division. Nathan Garnett won second place in the 10- and 11-year-old division. "I have not seen so many good shooters at this competition," said Coach Treslyn Pollreisz. "The winner of the boys 12- and 13-year-old division shot 23 out of 25. That free-throw percentage would make any coach happy at any level." All of Cassville's participants are pictured above. In the front row, from left, are: Garnett, Leslie Turner and Mueller. Back row: Natalie McNeill and Laurent Turner.
