Gerald Ray Patton, 70, of Branson, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in his home.
He was born Oct. 27, 1942, at Cross Hollows in Barry County, the son of Donald W. and Madge (Adams) Patton. On Dec. 19, 1964, in Macedonia, he was united in marriage to Audrey Riddle, who survives. Additional survivors include: one son, Bevan Patton and his wife, Tracy, of Branson; one daughter, Debbra Patton, of Monett; one brother, Donald Eugene Patton, of Springfield; two sisters, Fairy Marie Essary, of Monett, and Mary Ellen Frieze, of Verona; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He grew up in southwest Missouri. Prior to entering the U.S. Army, he lived in Crane. He worked in Kansas City for a time for King Louie Garment Factory. He then resided in Monett, before moving to Branson in 1989. He was employed with Jay-Zee Garment Factory in Pierce City, Monett and Branson for over 30 years For 10 years, he was a Boy Scout Master.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
