Mary Louise Hall, 83, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, in her home.
She was born May 15, 1929, in Eagle Rock, the daughter of James Robert and Daisie Mae (Burris) Greek. On May 19, 1949, in Columbus, Kan., she was united in marriage to Glenn C. "Buck" Hall, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2008. Also preceding her in death were: her parents; one son, Michael Hall; three brothers, Everett, Edward and Robert Greek; two sisters, Freda Grimes and Patricia Greek; a daughter-in-law, Grace Hall; a half-brother, Cecil Greek; and a half-sister, Grace McCullough.
Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Joe Hall and his wife, Sandy, of Purdy, and Terry Hall, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one daughter, Judy Cole and her husband, Larry, of Monett; daughter-in-law, Dalene Hall, of Claremore, Okla.; one brother, Don Greek, of Shell Knob; two sisters, Letha Ellis, of Cassville, and Cleva Preston, of Seligman; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great grandchildren.
She attended school at Victor School and graduated from Cassville High School. In 1950, she and Buck moved to Kansas, remaining there until 1962, when they moved to Barry County and owned and operated a dairy farm. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Monett.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Brother F.C. Lasater and Pastor Nathan Thomas conducted the services. Burial was at Sparks Cemetery at Butterfield.
