A Purdy man was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:02 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, on Interstate 44 about two miles west of Halltown.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2003 Ford F150, driven by Larry D. Hall, 55, of Purdy, left the roadway and struck a guardrail before the vehicle rolled over the guardrail. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin.
Hall was not wearing a seat belt.
Other crashes
An Aurora man sustained minor injuries in a single-car crash when he struck a cow in the roadway.
The crash occurred at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, on Highway 60 about two miles east of Monett. The driver of a 1997 Mazda Protégé, Devan M. Abrisz, 22, of Aurora, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
