Aurora man injured in crash

An Aurora man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:05 p.m. last Thursday, on Highway 39 at Leann.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, Gary C. Atkinson, 46, of Aurora, lost control on a curve, overcorrected and ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Atkinson was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
