Norma J. Smith Wellman, 91, formerly of Berryville, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Point Lookout Nursing Home in Hollister. She was born on Aug. 25, 1921, daughter of Billy and Vade (Lawrence) Clinken-beard, in Barry County. In 1937, she married Coy Smith in Carroll County, Ark.; he preceded her death. She later married Arnold Wellman in Miami, Okla. She worked as a secretary for her son's business, Eureka Log Homes.

Survivors include: two sons, Bill Smith and his wife, Kerry, of Branson, and Archie Ray Smith and his family, of Berryville, Ark.; one daughter, Judy Mitchell, of Blue Springs; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia June, one sister, and four brothers.

Funeral services were held Friday at the High Church in Carroll County Ark., with Maxine Smith officiating. Burial followed at the High Cemetery.
